Validation of Social Media Use to Promote the HPV Vaccination in Japan

In April 2022, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) resumed proactive recommendation of HPV vaccination as a national vaccine program for girls aged 12-16 in Japan. However, it is unclear what modalities can truly encourage Japanese women to change their views and behavior towards HPV vaccination. Therefore, in 2023, a randomized controlled trial was conducted in Japan to verify the effectiveness of a short video as a possible way to raise awareness about the catch-up program designed for young women aged between 17 and 25.

Indian Cancer Society has developed free multilingual information app for android and iOS on oral, breast, cervical and lung cancer in audio video format catering for literate and illiterate population. Other cancers will be added gradually.

We reviewed the literature to identify  potential recovery strategies to support cervical cancer prevention programs in lower-and middle-income countries

Cervical cancer vaccination & Screening in the Asia Pacific during the Pandemic.

In collaboration with the APAC HPV Coalition, the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS) hosted a webinar titled “Cervical cancer vaccination and screening in the Asia Pacific during the pandemic: Where do we go from here?” This webinar aimed to support the WHO’s global effort to eliminate cervical cancer screening strategy towards 2030 . The speakers on the panel outlined key issues in the Asia Pacific region for cervical cancer screening and prevention in the COVID period that should be prioritized in order to achieve the objective. There were also suggestions for both short-term and long-term activities for the Asia Pacific region. 

Human Papillomavirus Self-Sampling for Primary Cervical Cancer Screening in Under-Screened Women in Hong Kong during the COVID-19 Pandemic

The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of HPV self-sampling for cervical cancer screening and the best means of service delivery, with a specific focus on under-screened women, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
