Associate Professor Wichai Termrungruanglert is presently the Chairman of Gynecologic Oncology Committee of The Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RTCOG). He is the Immediate-Past President of Thai Gynecologic Cancer Society (TGCS) and also the Immediate-Past Chairman of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University and Director of Gynecologic Oncology Division.
He obtained his medical doctor’s degree in 1986 and his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1991 at Chulalongkorn University. He completed his Gynecologic Medical Oncology training at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, USA in 1996.
His research focus has been on studies of gynecologic cancer research including cervical and ovarian cancer screening and treatment, translational research, new targeted and immunotherapy drugs, and health economics on HPV screening and HPV vaccine. He has published original articles in these interested fields, written several book chapters, and been one of the editors of “HPV-related diseases and HPV vaccines” (Published articles: 78, Book chapters: 31, Editor in books and newsletters: 4). He has made several presentations in international meetings including IGCS, ESGO, ASCO, AOGIN, ASGO, EUROGIN, IPVC, ISPOR, GAP, UNFPA and FIGO. He has served as an editorial board of several medical journals as well.
Presently, he serves as the Chairman of Gynecologic Oncology Committee of The Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RTCOG) ; Executive board committee of Thai Society of Colposcopists and Cervical Pathology (TSCCP) ; Country representative (Thailand) of Asia-Oceania Genital Infection and Neoplasia (AOGIN) Executive Board Committee ; Secretary General of the Organizing Committee for Asian Society of Gynecologic Oncology (ASGO) Meeting 2021 ; and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Asia-Oceania Research Organisation in Genital Infection and Neoplasia (AOGIN) Meeting 2022.
